Winter transformed my favorite parks into something truly magical, and I couldn’t resist heading out for my first-ever snowy drone video shoot. I started at Crocker Park, a spot I’ve filmed many times in the spring and summer, but seeing it blanketed in snow was a completely new experience. The cold was intense—my fingers were frozen—but the crisp air and serene beauty made it all worth it. I quickly learned that while the cold reduced my drone’s battery life, its performance was even sharper in the cool temperatures.

On my way home, I decided to stop at Proper Beach, a spot I’d been wanting to visit for a long time. To my surprise, it was even more breathtaking than I had imagined. The contrast between the snow, the icy shoreline, and the expansive view of the water made for incredible footage. I’m so glad I made the extra effort to capture it.

Back in the editing room, I had a blast bringing the scenes to life. With my new editing and color grading skills, I created a video that seamlessly transitions between the snowy tranquility of Crocker Park and the striking beauty of Proper Beach. I also selected the perfect music to complement the visuals, enhancing the mood and flow of the final production.

This project was a labor of love, and I couldn’t be happier with how the finished video turned out. The mix of familiar and new locations, combined with the winter scenery, created a cinematic piece I’m proud to share. If you haven’t seen these spots in the snow, this video offers a glimpse of their stunning transformation.
